OUR PROBLEM HORSES

"Be kind to your horse and your horse will be kind to you!"

Our problem horses between them, have had just about every problem ever invented by a horse.  If it wasn't bucking or rearing, it was refusing to go forward, spooking at everything or running backwards.

Most had problems with loading.  Some were hard to catch, or wouldn't lead in from the field.

We have had problems with head-shy, bridling and picking up feet, not to mention general problems with schooling, hacking out and competing.  All have been cured of their problems!

Who would you like to meet?

Tequila: 15hh TB mare.  Her worst crime was rearing up & falling over backwards.  She never did that again!  Other problems with tying up, loading, schooling & jumping.
Tilly:   14.2hh Welsh cob X Danish Warmblood mare.  Always had her ears flat back and had "stubborn" down to a fine art.  Other problems with nervousness, spooking, hacking out, jumping & schooling.
Shannon 15hh Cob x TB mare.  Anything she wasn't expecting would set her off into an explosion of bronco bucking.  Other problems with saddling, picking up feet and jumping.

Rosa15.1hh TB mare.  The worst head-shy problem we ever met!  Also problems with bridling, bucking and hacking out.

Brandy: 14.1hh Arab x Welsh cob gelding.  Aside from jumping, at which he was brilliant, rearing and bolting was the name of his game.  Constant problems with wanting to go too fast.  Also loading.
Dylan13.2hh Hackney x Cob.  Show him a saddle & bridle, he turned into a nervous wreck!  Major problems with constantly wanting to go too fast and bolting.
Ellie16hh Trakhener x TB.  The stubborn performance horse.  Wouldn't hack out.  Wouldn't school.  Wouldn't compete.  Would stop dead, rear, spin round and plunge about.  Otherwise, she was a perfect angel, as a well-bred performance horse should be!
Kim's storyTopper: 14.2hh coloured cob gelding.  Buying a new horse can hold a few unpleasant surprises, as Kim found out.  Major problems with spooking & bolting for home.
Kimberly's storyWith 'long-distance' help from 'across the pond' Kimberly broke and trained her own horses - 2 of them, simultaneously!
