If all horses were the same, with similar backgrounds and experience, it would be relatively easy to prescribe a standard method or approach to solving their problems. But they are not. Horses are all so different that solving their problems means taking many factors into consideration, such as ... - what is he being asked to do? - has he ever done it before? - the situation (schooling, hacking etc) in which the problem occurs - what has been tried, if anything. There are however, a few problems that can be resolved with a one-size-fits-all standard procedure. They are listed here. |
